Art Kleiner


Art Kleiner is the editor-in-chief of strategy+business, an award-winning magazine published by Booz & Company. He is also a writer, lecturer and commentator on management, global trends, scenario planning, and organizational learning. His books include: The Age of Heretics: A History of the Radical Thinkers Who Reinvented Corporate Management (2008, Jossey-Bass/Wiley) and Who Really Matters: The Core Group Theory of Power, Privilege, and Success (2003, Doubleday). He is a is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism, and a faculty member at New York University’s Interactive Telecommunications Program, where he has taught scenario planning, writing for new media, and other courses since 1986. He is a former editorial director of the best-selling Fifth Discipline Fieldbook series with Peter Senge, and a coauthor of three books in that series: The Fifth Discipline Fieldbook, The Dance of Change, and Schools That Learn. He lives near New York City.

I am interested in seeing this forum flourish and interested in the connection between organizational learning and some of my current work on capabilities.

How do you see transformation occurring from this conference?

I think the idea of systems is rippling through larger systems and this conference could help people be more aware of what is already operating in their favor.
