Maria Seddio is the founder and president of CorpTalk, an executive coaching and organizational consulting firm specializing in collaborative design, culture change and corporate community building. She advises senior executives and teams on ways to incorporate systems thinking, narrative methodologies and the power of conversation foster organizational health and innovation. Maria has successfully delivered a number of multi-year culture change initiatives in Global 100 companies and is known for her ability to navigate complex business environments with strength and sensitivity. An advocate for developing women’s entrepreneurship as a mechanism for social change, she is the Founder of The Washline, a story-sharing initiative that promotes the importance and legacy of women’s leadership. Maria is a licensed Family Therapist and past-president of the New Jersey Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.

What draws you to the STIA conference?

Interest in meeting others who are shaping and sharing their work bringing systems thinking into mainstream flow of ideas and problem-solving discussions

What are you hoping to experience?

Inspired ideas, time for reflection, good dinner table conversations

What are you most passionate about?

When conversations really come alive and new space is created through the appreciation of difference and the dissolution of boundaries based in bias or prejudice

How do you see transformation occurring from this conference?

As a pleasant surprise, in some way.

What’s your bigger vision?

To see the dissolution of gender bias as a 21st century priority and lynchpin to the dissolution of all other biases and to know that I contributed to this in some way

What needs to happen for you to evaluate this STIA+ experience as a success?

Not sure. It wouldn't have to be major. A simple, smart, sweet, good enough experience of some sort.
