Yvonne Nelson-Reid

I am a passionate, motivated, creative leader who embraces my connections with others. My calling in life is to teach. Teaching has brought me great fulfillment and joy throughout my life. I graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Alberta. My ability to see what needs to be done and to make that happen, has taken my teaching and leadership skills in the direction I’ve always desired. I taught junior/senior high school for 8 years in Calgary, Alberta, and loved what I was able to create in the classroom, a soulful education honoring each child. Following the birth of my first child, I chose to be home with her while earning an MA in Educational Research utilizing Jungian Theory with an emphasis on Psychological Type from the University of Calgary. Shortly after, we moved to Virginia where I’ve remained at home raising 5 incredible children, filling my life with teaching opportunities, not only in the home but throughout the community. Currently I am a MA/PhD student at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Depth Psychology with a desire to bring these new skills back into the classroom. Always a teacher!
